At Terpening, we don’t just talk about safety, we invest in it, we practice it, and we’re ready to assist in safety whenever we can — even with other fuel transporters.

New Kenworth Tractors with Custom Safety Features
Our fleet of Kenworth tractors, pulling LBT trailers, is constantly being upgraded with brand new models. In fact, two thirds of our tractors are less than two years old! We work closely with vehicle engineers to review every component so the safest and most stable vehicles are built for our customer’s needs.

State-of-the-Art Equipment
All our vehicles are equipped with anti-rollover technology, traction-control systems, and stability features to enhance driver and vehicle safety. Each tractor also has GPS tracking that accepts Electronic On-Board Recorder (EOB R) technology, which will be federally mandated in the near future.

Extensive Safety Training
Our drivers also receive ongoing safety training to minimize the potential for slips, trips, falls, and small spills during the unloading process.

Active Industry Participation
Terpening Trucking is a long-term and active member of the National Tank Truck Carriers and the New York State Motor Truck Association, two industry groups whose primary focus is on safety. These organizations are also trusted resources for training, information, and networking.
